Eric Ollerenshaw OBE
Eric is a former elected politician with experience of holding office at virtually every tier of UK politics, most recently as a Member of Parliament and Private Parliamentary Secretary to a Minister in two government departments.
Eric’s wide-ranging political career started in 1986 and includes representing Lancaster and Fleetwood in the House of Commons until 2015, and serving in the London Assembly, as a London borough councillor and as a joint council leader. He led the Conservative Group on the London Assembly between 2002 and 2004, and also sat on London police and fire authorities. Before his election to Parliament, Eric worked for Conservative Campaign HQ as Head of Cities and Diversity.

He was appointed an OBE in the 1991 New Years Honours List. Eric holds the distinction of being the only Conservative to have led Hackney Council.
